Jorge C. Garrido, RFC

Chief Executive Officer

Jorge leads the planning conversations and recommendations at Financial Management Strategies. He helps individuals, small businesses, and families connect their investment, retirement, and insurance decisions with the people and priorities that matter to them.

A 1994 graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Jorge began his career as a commissioned Coast Guard officer. His service included maritime rescue efforts in the Florida Straits and leadership in South Florida law enforcement operations.

Following his military service, Jorge built his career in financial planning. He has also mentored junior advisors and taught advanced financial concepts as an American College moderator.

Today, he brings that focus on preparation and responsibility to his work with clients, coordinating with their attorneys and tax professionals when decisions call for additional expertise.

Community involvement is an important part of Jorge’s life. He and Alejandra participate in local chambers and community events, and he stays connected with community leaders across South Florida.

Jorge is an avid golfer and winner of Florida State Golf Association 2024-2025 Men’s Net State Championship.

Jorge and Alejandra live in West Palm Beach with their five children. Family is central to their lives and to the practice they run together.

Alejandra Garrido, FPQP®

Business Manager

Alejandra oversees firm operations, compliance, marketing, and client service at FMS. From arranging a first conversation to coordinating account paperwork and follow-up, she helps clients understand what happens next and keeps their requests moving.

She brings more than 20 years of experience in financial services and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. She earned the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP®) designation through the College for Financial Planning and holds a Florida 2-15 insurance license.

Fluent in Spanish, Alejandra values clear communication and personal service. She is a familiar point of contact for scheduling, account administration, and help finding the right client portal.

Outside the office, she enjoys triathlons, spending time outdoors with her family, and cheering on her daughters at volleyball practices and tournaments.
